In 2002, Dr. Jorge Perez opened Sierra Nevada Cancer Center in Carson City in order to provide area cancer patients with advanced cancer care close to home.
Recognizing that traveling to a big city to access cancer experts and facilities is stressful, expensive and exhausting, Dr. Perez built his clinics in underserved communities, including a cancer center in Fallon, one in Gardnerville, and most recently a South Lake Tahoe cancer center.
